Construction has started on a 7 unit builders’ merchant and trade counter development on land previously owned by MKDP. Units will be ready for occupation in late 2018. Located at Rooksley, it will be known as Deltic Trade Park and is being developed by Tarncourt Ambit Properties and built by Mitchell Design and Construction.
The development will be almost 50,000 sq ft in total with units ranging from 3,000 sq ft (372 sq m) up to 24,100 sq ft (2239 sq m). The largest unit has already been let to MKM Building Supplies, which has more than 50 branches across the UK.
MKDP chief executive Charles Macdonald says: “By working with Tarncourt Ambit on this important site, we will be bringing new jobs and other commercial opportunities to Milton Keynes.”
Tarncourt Ambit director Chris Reynolds says: “We are excited by our first development scheme in Milton Keynes and we anticipate completion of the units in October this year. We are attracted by the city’s success and its exciting future prospects and we are seeking further opportunities in the town.”
